Fortress of Suomenlinna
Fortress of Suomenlinna has the great historical place in Helsinki and it’s a great place to visit for (war) history buffs. You can get to this island by the traveling in a ferry that costs the same as a bus ride. Try to come early to avoid the crowds. The Fortress of Suomenlinna island gives you such beautiful attractions in Helsinki and you really do feel a world away from the mainland. It’s worth walking out to the southern slope (only 30-40 minutes’ walk without stops) and watches the Tallinn Helsinki ferries navigate the narrow channels.
This Rock church is built in during the sixties and designed by two architect brothers by name Suomalainen. It’s like a huge auditorium church once side below into the ground covered with rocks and the other side open to the sky, but covered with glass. Must see if you in or around Helsinki. In the church, shows are organized, in which the atmosphere of the Church will bring its own contribution. Lots of tourists visit Helsinki for a combination of religion, spirituality, and architecture.
Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali)
The climb up to the cathedral is rewarded with fantastic views of the harbors. The cathedral is really beautiful both from the outside and the inside, once you get in you can easily see the Russian touch. It’s just walking distance from the downtown waterfront. There is lovely brick church copper roof with gold accents up on the hill above the waterfront. There is a gift shop in the midst of it and there is no seating to come before God and meditate. This place is really peaceful and amazing place.
The Esplanadi Park
The Esplanadi Park in Helsinki, is an absolutely beautiful attraction, especially in summer time, it connects the busy streets of the City Centre and the harbor area. The Esplanadi Park is popular with locals and tourists. The Esplanadi Park offers the possibility of really relaxing right in the middle of the city. It is simply beautiful with all the history behind and still going strong. The Esplanadi Park is fully filled with fountains, green spaces, and statues. On either side of the park are high-end stores.
Linnanmaki Amusement Park
This amusement park is great fun and there is something for everyone. This amusement park is classy and offers a lot to do and it’s a nice place to go with family. You can find fantastic things in Helsinki with small kind and for them, most attractions for their age and entry fee is free of charge. Lots of free rides that is very suitable for children 5 to 6 years old. This theme park is free to enter and there are 10 free rides for children. And the park is so pretty in the evenings when the lights go on, that it is suitable not only for kids and families even for couples also have a romantic evening.
This zoo is very special for a number of reasons. It’s the world’s most famous zoo that features animals from around the world. It’s one of the world’s oldest zoos. It’s on an island with breathtaking views of Helsinki. The transportation is very well planned (you can go by car, bus or ferry) and the location is just great. The trip with the bus took only about 25 minutes from the center of Helsinki city. There is lots attraction is there to see in Helsinki and places to have a quiet time out and just enjoy the beauty of being on an island.
