Plan a Solo Getaway to the Emerald Coast

Travel Tips - Amanda - February 15, 2018

Do you need a little time to yourself? Looking for a great little getaway to reconnect with who you are and feel relaxed and refreshed again? The Emerald Coast is a perfect destination for solo female travel. With so many wonderful options for fun activities, beautiful beaches, spas, and shopping, it’s the ideal place to pamper yourself. So pull out your calendar and plan a solo getaway to the Emerald Coast sometime soon.

Day Cruise

There’s nothing better than spending the day on the clear ocean waters taking in the splendor of the Emerald Coast from the comfort of a boat. Just head down to any marina and you’ll find lot of options, such as Flipper’s Adventures in Destin. This business offer snorkeling cruises, dolphin adventures, and more.

Destin, Florida

Spending a weekend alone in Destin, Florida, is exactly what you need to feel rested and restored. It doesn’t matter if you spend the day in a spa getting spoiled or shopping for souvenirs and the latest fashions, you’re bound to have a good time. From soft sandy beaches to tasty dining options, there’s plenty to do. Of course, you could just pull out a book and forget about the world. There are a variety of Destin hotels and resorts just waiting to make you feel like a queen.

James Lee Park and Public Beach

You can’t go to Destin without spending a day lounging on the beach. James Lee Park has one of the nicest beaches in the whole Destin area. It’s a perfect place to play some beach volleyball, go swimming, or just lay in the sun. There are beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent for just a small fee. Don’t forget to pack a beach towel, some sunblock, sunglasses, and your favorite hat, because you’re going to need them.

Orange Beach

Orange Beach is one of the lesser-known vacation destinations on the Emerald Coast and another excellent choice for a solo getaway. It’s not near as crowded as some of the other nearby beaches in Florida and Mississippi. The scenic 32 miles of coastal shores and sandy beaches are sure to take your breath away and calm your nerves. Orange Beach has some amazing boutiques and fine dining spots, or if you crave some adrenaline, try the zip lines or water sports. The place has a friendly vibe that will make you never want to leave.

There’s no place on earth quite like the Emerald Coast. From opulent resorts with world class spas to pamper you to the solitude of wildlife refuges or a night dancing on the town, it’s the perfect place to unwind and have fun. It’s hard to narrow it down to which area is the best. Destin is one of the more popular places, but the tranquility of Orange Beach is hard to beat. Once you feel the sand on your toes, smell that salt air, and feel the warm sun on your skin, you’ll feel like a million bucks and vow to return again to the Emerald Coast.

About Me

Hey! It’s Amanda from Turn of the World. I started my blog to share some more personal travel tips with the world! I grew up in New Jersey and always though that there was more to life than my home town. When I turned 22 I decided it was time to explore and saved all my pennies to travel the world for a year. That was 2 years ago and I haven’t stopped since. I find ways to work while I travel and make some money writing online to enable my travel-bug.
